Endeavours Partnership owns and operates SeriesBible, a web-based Software As A Service ( SaaS ) authoring application.

If you are a potential or actual Customer of SeriesBible and continue to browse and use this website, you are agreeing to accept the provisions of this Privacy Policy and also our Customer Terms & Conditions.

You also agree that you understand and accept how we protect your privacy and use your data.

We may update this Policy from time to time. If you have a current, paid subscription, we will inform you of any changes to this Policy one calendar month prior to such changes coming into effect. We will use the email address that we have on file for you to accomplish this.

• Potential Customer
• You are a potential Customer if you are subscribed to a current, free, 30 day, free trial to SeriesBible but you have not yet taken out a paid subscription
• Actual Customer
• You are an actual Customer if you have a current, paid for subscripion to SeriesBible
• Visitor
• You are a visitor if you are browsing or otherwise using the SeriesBible website but you are not an Affiliate, an actual Customer or a potential Customer

    Endeavours Partnership ( owner and operator of SeriesBible ) is the Data Controller for SeriesBible.

    Endeavours Partnership ( owner and operator of SeriesBible ) is both the Data Controller and the Data Processor for SeriesBible. Except as noted below, we do not outsource any business process which requires the sharing and processing of personal data with third parties.
    
    The single exception is that our payment processor, Stripe Inc. - in common with all other online payment processors - may also collect information about you which it may store on its own servers for its own business purposes.

• Identity Information

• • In this Privacy Policy, we refer to your personal data as ‘personal information’. ‘Personal information’ means any information from which a living individual can be identified. It does not apply to information which has been anonymised.
  • We are only able to use your personal information for the reasons set out in data protection law. There are legal reasons incorporated in British data protection law other than those listed below but Endeavours Partnership ( owner and operator of SeriesBible ) only uses your personal information for the following legal reasons ...
• • Contract Reason : in order to perform our obligations to you under a contract we have entered into with you

    The only time Endeavours Partnership ( owner and operator of SeriesBible ) routinely shares information about you with a third party is when you make a subscription payment to us via our payment processor, Stripe Inc..

    In practice, we only use your name and physical address when we generate tax invoices which we email to you. We do this to comply with United Kingdom law with respect to creating and maintaining accounting records.

Your Data Belongs To You

You would think this principle is simple, widely accepted and uncontroversial.

We find it appalling that so many businesses, companies and corporations seem to believe they have a right to know more about you than you know about yourself.

We are equally appalled that some commercial enterprises believe they have the right to sell your data, without your proper, informed consent, to other corporations with which you have no relationship for reasons you will never discover.

We only use your data for the strict, limited purposes of running our business and meeting our legal obligations.

We may, from time to time, contact you with marketing material - but only ever about our own products and services and you always have the right to opt out from receiving our promotional emails.

We Don't Sell Your Data

We know that many businesses, companies and corporations harvest the data of their website visitors and sell it on to third parties for profit. We actually find that practice repugnant.

So we don't do it.

Endeavours Partnership ( owner and operator of SeriesBible ) does not sell, lease, rent, hire, lend or otherwise share your personal or contact information or any material you may create within any database controlled by us with any third parties whether for financial reward or otherwise.

The only exception to this policy is in the unlikely situation that we are required by a British police force, His Majesty's Revenue & Customs or a British Court to share your information following the presentation of a properly constituted warrant, Court Order or other legal form of Governmental demand.

We Collect As Little As Possible

We only collect Identity and Contact Information if you have registered for a free, 30 day trial of, or you have taken out a paid subscription to, SeriesBible.

We only collect your first and last names and your physical and email addresses.

We collect this information so that we can communicate with you for the period of your Free Trial or paid subscription, so that we know who you are for the purposes of complying with Know Your Customer ( KYC ) regulations and so that we can raise proper tax invoices for the period of your subscription.

In common with most internet sites, Endeavours Partnership ( owner and operator of SeriesBible ) collects and stores data such as your :

• IP address
• browser type
• operating system
• other technical information

We collect technical data and maintain server logs so that our :

• servers can communicate with your computer, laptop or mobile device
• software can accommodate different behaviours exhibited by speciic web browsers or operatig systems
• System Administrators can analyse and resolve technical failures caused by specific combinations of your browser, your operating system and our operating system

We also create and maintain cookies on your computer, laptop or mobile phone, Cookies are small text files ( 4kb maximum ) which we use to store data about your SeriesBible session and where you are inside our application.

When you close the browser tab or window you are using for SeriesBible or when you formally log out of the application, the cookie file is automatically destroyed. We do not use cookies or other technologies to track your internet behaviour outside SeriesBible.

Our payment processor, Stripe Inc., sends us limited information about you every time you make a payment to us.

This information never includes details of your bank or your debit or credit card. We do not need that information and Stripe Inc. - in common with other internet payment processors - does not share it with us.

Retention Policy

• In the case of a Free Trial which is not converted to a paid subscription, we destroy all of your personal and contact information as well as any material you have created 30 days after your Free Trial ends.
• We retain the data for 30 days in order to give you the opportunity to take out a paid subscription with us.
• In the case of a paid subscription, data deletion will happen as described below.
• Personal & Contact Information And Customer-Created Material
• The personal and contact information we hold about you on our customer database will be deleted 30 days following the expiry of your last subscription.
• Any material which you have created in SeriesBible during your time as a customer will be deleted 30 days following the expiry of your last subscription.
• We believe that this policy strikes a fair balance between giving you time to consider whether you want to renew your subscripton to SeriesBible and our legal obligation to retain your data and the personal information we hold about you for as short a time as necessary for the purposes of operating our business.
• Accounting Information ( Invoices & Payments )
• We have a legal obligation to store primary accounting documents ( such as invoices and payments ) for a period of six financial years following the date of creation.
• Our sales invoices incorporate the name and address of the customer to whom they were issued and, therefore, your name and address will still appear in our accounting database even if your subscription has expired and we have removed you from our customer database.
• In the United Kingdom, a financial year runs from 6th. April of one year to 5th. April of the next.
• Our internal systems automatically delete our accounting records once they have exceeded the legal retention requirement of six financial years from the date of creation.

Under United Kingdom law, you have the legal right to know what information a business holds on you.

Endeavours Partnership ( owner and operator of SeriesBible ) fulfils the legal obligation to make this data available by presenting it within rhe Account dashboard of each potential and actual Customer.

Within the Account Dashboard, you are able to view, edit and update the data we hold about you at any time without reference to us.
